Originally sustainable

Ten years ago, the size and location of the building determined the enterprise: a cultural and congress centre. It was decided to adapt the enterprise to better fit the surrounding area.

Climate-neutral meetings

The result is highly satisfactory: Antropia is the first climate-neutral cultural and congress centre in the Netherlands. But we want more, and our objective is to make the meetings held at our venue climate-neutral also.

We encourage visitors to come by train. Thanks to a special contract with the Dutch Railways, we can offer return tickets at a discounted rate. You can order your tickets here.

Events cause CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases. Consider, for example, journeys taken by visitors and the huge amount of paper used for invitations and programmes. The Climate Neutral Group has determined the average greenhouse gas emissions caused by our visitors. It has been proven that these emissions can be compensated for a mere € 0.25 per visitor: the Climate Neutral Group uses this amount to finance sustainable energy and production forest projects all around the world, such as a new forest in Malaysia. Holding your event at our location means you deal directly with CO2 emissions, because congresses and events are organised in an entirely climate-neutral way. This means investing in appealing climate projects, thus contributing to a better and cleaner world. And in addition, your event will be provided with the 'climate neutral event' logo.
